Submerge the entire moss ball in a bowl of room-temperature water until no more bubbles are released, which indicates the moss is fully saturated. The soaking process usually takes 3 minutes.
Place your kokedama in a spot with plenty of bright, indirect sunlight, such as near a window but out of direct rays.
Avoid direct sunlight, which can burn the leaves, and low light conditions, which can cause the plant to become leggy.
Variegated varieties require more light to maintain their coloring.
- Prune branches to maintain the desired shape and size of your plant.
- Pinching off the growing tips will encourage bushier growth.
- Always wear gloves when pruning, as the sap can cause skin irritation in some people.
